Puddles.

Let’s review. Two weeks ago we had a beautiful snow fall. Five days later we had a balmy and beautiful 80°F (27°C). Today I awoke and the temperature was 35°F (1.6°C) and it was raining. Welcome to North Carolina. As the saying goes, “Come to North Carolina. If you don’t like the weather here, wait 5 minutes and it will change.”

Last summer we experienced a drought so we are grateful for rain. And you know how rain is – it makes puddles. I noticed a few puddles both inside and out.

A puddle of ribbons. I found these hard to resist the other day. I have a few ideas for some of them, but even if I didn’t, it’s nice to have a choice.

A puddle of parts. One day soon, this will be more than just parts and pieces.

A big puddle. Well, my apologies. This isn’t really a puddle. It’s a river not far from where I live. Just think of it as a big puddle that moves really fast.

A puddle of pansies. These charming flowers really love the rain.

A puddle of a dog. My dog Socks really has the right idea. Curl up in a warm place and take a nap.
