Blink and you might miss it . . .

we almost did. It’s very exciting – at least for us. I know, you are wondering what in the heck I am talking about. A few weeks ago, on a whim, my daughter quickly created and sent one of her collages to someone, somewhere in California for possible inclusion in a music video. Imagine our surprise after watching the video (several times – very, very carefully) to discover that her artwork appears for a brief second in time – twice, if you tilt your head sideways, squint your eyes, and hold your breath.

Because there’s a good chance you’ll miss it even if you know what you are looking for, I am posting this photo of the collage:

The song is Swim by Jack’s Mannequin. Her artwork appears at about time index 3:15 on the right side of the frame. We’ve learned to blink at time index 3:14 or 3:16 but not at 3:15. Here is the YouTube video. Enjoy.

  1. That's very cool!
Her collage seems very Dave Mckeanish!

How does she go about creating them?

  2. Hi Heather, I've seen bits and pieces of the process but I'll have to ask her for the specifics. Layering is a big part of it - and using my paints! ;D
