I call it sewing, generally speaking . . .

You have all been so very kind and generous. Thank you for your comments about Blossom. Also, I would like to welcome the new readers/followers to this blog. You may soon find out I have no earthly idea what I am doing. Apparently, this is not an uncommon trait with people who are somewhat slightly less than sane.

While the BBC was busy writing my blog posts prior to my revealing the giveaway, I was busy sewing. I think that’s quite an amusing idea – as if I just sat with a needle and thread and sewed each and every minute of each and every day.

In reality, most of us know that creating bears (or anything for that matter) requires quite a number of skills. These include but are not limited to designing patterns, emptying the trash can, cutting out patterns, looking for misplaced pieces, cutting mohair or whatever, picking up spilled pins, basting the bear parts, etc. In my case, it also requires undoing and redoing, fixing and tweaking. Although I have never seen the word tweaking in teddy bear making manuals.

I tried hard to stay on task and not get tempted into thinking about what my table will look like at the show (just yet) or making tags (just yet) or packing any supplies (just yet). The thing that befuddles me the most is how not to be lured by new ideas. Isn’t that the way? You get one and then you get oodles? Oodles and oodles and oodles and realize that you could not possibly complete them all before it’s time to leave.

It’s enough to drive a person crazy, but that’s not a problem for me since I am already there. In fact, being this way can sometimes be a bonus. You always have an excuse for the diversity that graces your display. That’s my story anyway.

While I cannot show you all the bears and such that I have been working on, I will share this glimpse of some of the bear feet – that also happen to be bare feet. Or bare bear feet. You can click on the picture to see it really, really long and check out the variety.

Now where was I?
