From Snow to Palm Trees and a New Year’s Token

In my last post I showed you photos of the seven inches of snow that fell late on Christmas Day and the day after. We left all that behind and headed for palm trees and warmer temperatures, but more on that later. Our New Year’s Eve started out like this. Let me tell you the snow was a distant memory at this point.

By dusk we had staked a place on the streets of Hollywood Studios in Disney World to see the Spectacle of Dancing Lights.  I saw the lights on the buildings before they were lit so I knew it was going to be unlike any other light display I had seen.

And yet, I was still blown away by the scope of it all.

These photos give you some idea of what it looked like,

I wanted to stand under them all night long.
