I am curious what you would think if you happened upon this garden like we did. It is very eclectic and not a typical orderly plot of plantings. Would you be intrigued or uninterested?
Here’s a photo of the garden from a distance.
You are here now.
Let’s look at some of the details close up. Could you get away with these decorations on a tree in your yard?
If you had a rusty shovel would you throw it out or would you recycle it into yard art?
What if your favorite piece of pottery broke? Could you re-imagine it as a place for succulents?
How about broken glassware that becomes an ornament rather than land fill?
All these things are details that were hiding among the flowers and plants of which there were many.
I wonder if I could get away with this in my backyard or if the neighbors would insist I have my head examined.
It’s something to contemplate because . . .
Wow, what an amazing garden! Love seeing gardens that are just a bit different, thank you for sharing those photos.

Lovely, very artistic. I have used broken pottery as a smaller container and it is one of my favorites.

Is this a public garden or someone's at their house that they just let people wander through?
ReplyDelete... and I would think:
ReplyDelete"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."
Beautiful.
ReplyDelete@ Stitching Noni - I agree Noni. It's intriguing, isn't it - to see how other people interpret objects and utilize them in a different way?
ReplyDelete@ The Bear's Blog - You are very forward thinking! You could share your pottery garden on your blog and we could look to it for inspiration.
@ Heather - I think it was 'attached' to an art gallery of sorts - not private. And yes, we just wandered through right off the street. Love the quote too!!!!
@ Joanne - I am inclined to agree with you Joanne. Certainly an interesting place to spend some time - lots to look at and ponder.
Is this your garden??? I think it is lovely,

Hi Leny,
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely garden. Fun to walk around in. But sadly, it isn't mine. It would be nice to make the time or take the time to create and tend something similar to it though.

Oooh, we'd love to visit there. We think there would be tons of places to explore, and play, and oooh, we think we could add too. LT has mounds of fabric she's gravitating towards rather than playing with us. We think it would make some fun tents. Maybe a teepee...

@ The Clan & Jack - There are tons of places to explore for some little bears. You could easily go unnoticed and perhaps you would discover some treasures that I missed!
