Easter Sunday afternoon was a wonderfully impressive day here weather-wise. Not too hot or too cold and the sun shone brightly without a cloud in the sky. In addition, we managed to retrieve Sebastian at the designated pick up spot: 36° North Latitude.
He chose a lovely landing spot right in the middle of the Sarah P. Duke Gardens.
He was under the impression that all the folks there had come to welcome him home. As usual, I didn’t have the heart to tell him otherwise.
When no one came up to him to offer congratulations while he was sitting next to the fish pool, I had to tell him that every single one of them was shy.
Then he got distracted by the breathtaking blooms all around and decided on a new project – for me. He said I should photograph a rainbow of flowers which is exactly what I did because I thought it was a very good idea. Here they are:
After traipsing over most of the gardens, we decided it was time to leave. We saw this sundial on our way out and thought the sentiment was very fitting – in so many ways.
