Mr. In-Between

Okay, so that’s not his or her real name. Let’s do like they do in the movies and call it a working title.

mib_1

If you recall, a couple of posts back I decided I wanted to see how my design might turn out smaller than the larger bear

mib_2

and larger than the smaller bear. Are you still with me?

mib_3

So here he is – Mr. In-Between (working title). You can recognize him in this photo because he is in between the other two teds.

mib_4

In the photo below, Mr. In-Between is on the right. He is no longer in between. The littlest bear is in between but he’s not Mr. In-Between.

mib_5

In this photo, Mr. In-Between is all by his lonesome little self. Can you be Mr. In-Between if you aren’t in between two others? We certainly don’t want to call him Mr. No-Longer-In-Between. That’s just too much name for such a small bear.

mib_6

Now the big question is what’s (or who’s) next? Think. Think. Think.

  4. No'-As-Big-As-In-Between-Sized-Bear-But-Bigger-than-Wee-Bear Bear?

(which is a reference to The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett... the name of one of the Nac Mac Feegle (tiny fairy men) is No'-As-Big-As-Medium-Sized-Jock-But-Bigger-than-Wee-Jock Jock... and if you haven't read this book, I recommend it... I was laughing out loud repeatedly at the Nac Mac Feegle's antics)

It does sound like something right up my alley. How did you know? Okay - I'm going to have to check it out.

Thanks! (and I'll make note of your suggestion too!)

    2. since I don't know what that is, I guess not =) I haven't had the opportunity to attend a bear show, except online. If it is an online show, I'm there! =)

    3. Hi Pam,

Oh, I thought perhaps you might have been. It's probably about 4 hours from you. Here's a link: http://www.tbai.org/ I don't know if that's something you'd like to do or not, but I'd be happy to meet you there - along, of course, with all the bears!

I'm still having my online shows - and sometimes participate in others so perhaps we'll cross paths there if not anywhere else!

  7. Such a beautiful shade of blue! I think I'd name him/her Bluebell or Skye. I thought I'd not be able to warm up to bears of a different fur color but I proved myself wrong last year by adopting a pink girl and green boy pair! I guess it just depends on the bear.

    1. Hi Ani,

I know exactly what you mean. I wonder sometimes when I choose a lovely color fabric for a bear if the color will be something that proves too much for a bear. But as you say, it depends. Thanks for your insight and those are great name suggestions!

  9. ALL Bears Are Welcome. Big, small and the in-betweens, esp the in-betweens (which is probably the new "in"!). :) [Oops, I hope our resident bear is in agreement with this too.]

    1. Hi Kay Joy,

Thanks so much! I'm glad you think the color is a good choice - blue can be iffy on a bear.

    1. Hi Jock,

I'm sure you're right. Sebastian should be using his noggin for something useful in addition to thinking up all the things you can dip in chocolate.

      Thanks for the suggestion!
