Sebastian reporting – Part II

Now that I’ve had a chance to rest a bit, I am happy that I am finally able to share some photos of the other half of our journey to TBAI. I’m just a little behind, but that’s okay, isn’t it?

I hope you like apples or at least looking at them because that seemed to the theme for the day.  We started out by visiting the “World’s Largest Apple”. That’s what they said and since I have nothing to compare it to, we’ll just have to take their word for it, whoever they are.

sr_p2_1

Then we went around the corner and saw the”World’s Second Largest Apple”.

sr_p2_2

This is me on the top of it. It was really high off the ground.

sr_p2_3

On the way out of town we passed an apple with a stethoscope. What?! I know. I know. That’s what I thought too.

sr_p2_4

But sure enough, there was a huge apple with a stethoscope.

sr_p2_5

Someone got sidetracked and the next thing I know I am watching frogs swimming under lily pads. What do lily pads have to do with apples? It seems if we don’t often see something at home, it becomes the subject of many photos. I extracted a promise that we only show one for now. That way we can get to the good stuff….me!

sr_p2_6

Shortly after the lily pad diversion, we were making our way down a country road to an apple orchard. I’ve never been to an apple orchard before.

sr_p2_7

It was pretty cool to see the apples growing so nice and ripe for picking.

sr_p2_8

I was the only bear sitting in an apple tree that day. Well, let’s face it; I was the only bear there that day.

sr_p2_9

You might think a bear’s life doesn’t get much better than this. Ah, but it does. We finally arrived at TBAI – just in time for the sock hop. If I’m lucky I’ll be able to pawn a photo of you-know-who off some sweet soul. There is evidence, um – proof out there that you can rock’em and you can sock’em at the hop whether or not you know how to do the twist or the pony.

This is your friend, Sebastian signing off from TBAI.

  1. Hi Sebastian,
I really loved the one of you sitting in the apple tree! Those apples look so wonderfully good for you - before they get the shiny stuff on them for the store. Glad you had fun!

  2. You leave me in suspenders Sebastian. What is a sock hop?
The lily pond was perfect. I thought I saw a fairy resting on one, or was it you?
Loved the apples, you know an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Keep having fun my furry little friend.

    1. Hi Wilbur's Granny!

The way it was explained to me is that it is a 1950's dance party. Back then it took place in the gym so they could only dance in their socks! It was casual and fun. I liked it because everyone dressed like the 1950's and danced that way too!

I'll try to get some good photos to share. Thanks for stopping by!

      Hugs,
      Sebastian

  5. Hi Sebastian,
So many apples, ooh my tummy hurts just thinking about them! I hope you didn't eat too many, though you look like you were enjoying yourself in that tree. I liked the lily pond, but is an orchard your staff's idea of scenic?
Enjoy TBAI but don't get kidnapped.

    1. Hi Jock,

The way it goes here is taking pleasure wherever it pops up. We don't see apple orchards every day where we live so it was quite an adventure down the country roads! I share those photos one day soon!

      Thanks Jock!
      Hugs,
      Sebastian
