Sebastian here to give you some insight into my our recent road trip. First, let me say that even though this trip was planned a few weeks back, I was only made aware of it when I was suddenly put into the car on Friday. They never tell me anything. I didn’t even have time to pack.
I discovered our destination was Asheville. While there is never enough time to see everything, we managed to have some fun and see a few sights.
Supposedly I was there to provide comic relief. That’s what they told me anyway. I can do silly pretty well, but they really didn’t need me. They’ve got that down pat themselves.
We decided to stop at the Chocolate Lounge in the afternoon because apparently the wait has gotten rather lengthy in the evening. Luckily, I was right in the middle of things to make certain the Crème Brule and coffee were distributed evenly – by my standards, of course.
I like this photo of my reflection in the coffee pot. I think I’m rather cute if I do say so myself.
It was taken just before the big arm wrestling match. I can’t take these people anywhere!
After the coffee and the chocolate, I think I caught the sillies myself. How do you like this photo? If you like it, it was all my idea.
We walked around downtown a little while longer and I got hungry. They said they would find a restaurant that would let animals eat at the table. What?! I am not an animal. I am a furry person. But they just laughed and said “Gotcha!” This particular place uses toys to match your order to your table. I made friends with Fred. He’s not mean at all. His jaw just got stuck that way.
I had this great idea to pretend like he was eating me. You should have seen the look of fright on you-know-who’s face! It was pretty funny! Now we’re even and I know how to get her goat too.
Today we took a short ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stopped along the way a couple of times. Just to prove I was there, here’s a picture of me high up on a sign. I had a great view from up there.
Then I went to meet Willie. This is Willie.
Willie’s job is to model for the Life Drawing class. I hope these photos don’t scare you because Willie is a really fun guy. He told me loads of jokes. I didn’t think anyone would believe me if I told them I had a skeleton for a friend if I didn’t have pictures to prove it. So here’s my proof.
This is me and Willie.
This is Willie trying to tickle me. It was hard to convince him I wasn’t ticklish when I couldn’t stop laughing. Silly Willie and Silly Sebastian.
My side hurts from laughing so much. I think I’ll sleep really well in my own bed tonight. In fact, that sounds like such a good idea I’m going to bed right now.
Hi Sebastian,
ReplyDeleteWe love sharing your adventures with you - and the girls are full of admiration that you made friends with a dinosaur and a skeleton! We took a vote and now call you Sebastian the Brave.
Hugs from Kayzy's Critters
Hi Kayzy,
DeleteI am so glad you do! It's nice to have someone along if only in spirit.
Ha ha! Sebastian the Brave. I like it!
hugs,
Sebastian
Whats going on with those humans. No packing time is disgraceful. A bear needs time to pack a certain amount of stash, like snacks; ie. lollies, honey and cookies. I sure like the look of that yummy chocolate shop.

Wilbur
Hi Wilbur,
DeleteI know. I know. I can think of a whole lot of things I could have taken.
Thankfully, they had snacks and I'm not saying who ate the best ones before they had a chance to get hungry.
(You won't tell will you?)
hugs,
Sebastian
Hi Sebastian,
ReplyDeleteStaff...it's so difficult these days to find good help.
Fred & Willie look like great new friends. Thank you for the grr-rate tour & pictures.
Hugs
Prudence ♥
Hi Prudence,
DeleteFred & Willie are pretty unusual friends for a bear but we all got along just great. I'm glad you liked the photos!
hugs,
Sebastian
Well of course they had to take you for light comic relief, they're obviously very boring by themselves. We were so glad to see Willie grinning away for his photos too :oD

Jack & The Clan
Hi Jack and The Clan,
DeleteHa ha. Boring. That's funny.
It was pretty interesting looking out the car window when we were driving the roads with all the switchbacks. Almost like a Disney ride except when I kept say "Faster! Faster!" they would slow down. Go figure.
Yep, Willie is a pretty happy guy. He's got a great job too! Just hangs about all day long.
hugs,
Sebastian
Sebastian: Great pictures you took on your trip. Love those shots you took with your new-found friends! They are really unusual! I think some humans would have run away at the sight of them!
ReplyDeleteOh, good on you catching Ginger and her DH at just the right moment! That picture makes me chuckle.
Hi Val,
DeleteThank you. I think my friends are very photogenic.
Yes, those two can be good for a laugh every once in a while. :D
hugs,
Sebastian
Sebastian you are amazing and I agree you can't take those two anywhere. Just pretend you don't know them. That works sometimes!
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Sharon,
DeleteI should know better but they do have driver's licenses. Something that I lack. So for the time being I'll have to take them places occasionally. I tend to walk way ahead of them sometimes just in case people get the idea we might be together - even though it's true. :D
hugs,
Sebastian
PS Hi to Teddy!
Well Sebastian,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're giving me a run for my money. That was quite an adventure. I completely sympathise on getting no notice - just wheech, and off you go, is pretty normal round here. Seems your humans are no more reliable than mine. As for the arm wrestling - it may look stupid but I'm glad you were there to capture it. Next time she says you've been brought along for comic effect, just show her that photo and it will wipe the smile off her face.
I liked your fun photos, especially those with Willie. He seems an all round fun guy, even if he is a bit under nourished.
Cheers,
Jock
