Talk about Coincidence

Since I was last here I learned . . .

that Tinsley is soon to arrive Chelyabinsk. Yes, you read that correctly. Tinsley is headed to the same city that the meteor landed in Russia. Talk about coincidence.

Since I was last here . . .

it has snowed. Fiercely, but it was too warm for it to stick to the roads.

It did stick to my guard bear though.

Since I was last here . . .

Valentine’s Day has come and gone. I hope you had a nice one.

Since I was last here . . .

I chose this cigar box for my next extended project.

Here it is open before I have started to work on it.

The first step was to add some chip board panels to the inside – irregularly – that was the plan.

Then I prepared the outside for the next stage which I am currently in the middle of.

It involves this lovely paper that I found at the art store. I love the texture of it. I wish I could put a sample on here for you to feel.

Sebastian thinks a waffle and coffee is a good accompaniment to the process. I couldn’t find any substantial reason to disagree with him.

  1. Wow! Do you think Tinsley will be asking to see the place where the meteor landed ? That could be quite exciting for a little Teddy ;)
Sebastian`s thought of a waffle and coffee made me want some..
    Have a nice day!

    1. Hi Kikka,

I think it would be neat to see a photo of Tinsley in front the crater but it might be kind of scary too! I hope he becomes a good luck charm and no more meteors. Thanks so much!

You have a lovely day too!

  3. Tinsley apportera un peu de joie à la personne ayant vécu un tel événement et ça c'est bien !
Sebastian a raison une pause, café et gaufre est toujours la bienvenue.
J'ai hâte de suivre votre nouveau projet !

    1. Hi Rosethé,

I think you are right about that. I hope he does bring some joy and comfort because I know it had to be scary. Yes, I'd love to share waffles and coffee with everyone who reads here. It would be a lot of fun!

      Thanks you!

  5. Hi Sebastian,

Oh boy, SNOW!!! You are so lucky - wow, SNOW!!!!

Did you go outside and make a snowbear? Or did you make a snow angel in the snow? So sledding?

    Heaps of Hugs,

    1. Hi Prudence,

Yes, it was quite pretty. We had all hoped it would stick to the road so we could go sledding. I have a sled just my size, but it was slippery on the road so we didn't get to go.

We stayed inside cozy and warm and had yummy things to fill our tummies! It was fun!

      hugs,
      Sebastian

  6. We have a special Cigar Store here in our area and I learned recently that they sale the boxes dirt cheap for around $3. I am trying to think of something I might do with them....maybe miniature rooms or something like that.....I see you have a wooden one there for your project.....a friend of mine used them to make lamps, I've not seen what she made.
I see you like eating the waffles like a pastry as do I or is is Sebastian who likes them that way?

    1. Hi Mama Bear,

It is hard to resist a bargain on nice cigar boxes and when you don't have to search for them, it makes it even easier. There's lot of things that they can be used for and I know with your creativity, you can come up with something special.

These are liege waffles and I think they are perfectly delicious without any toppings at all.

      Thanks!

  7. Oh my, we hope Tinsley doesn't fall into the hole! It looks like there's much more snow there than where he started and he'd need more than that coffee to warm up. The waffle would help though...

Oh no! I hope he doesn't fall into the hole either! And yes, there does look to be lots of snow. I think he'll have lots of people to look after him and keep him warm.

    1. Hi Salley,

I hope so too but I think he'll be fine, especially if he hangs out in a pocket. A postcard would be terrific wouldn't it?

      Thanks for stopping by.
