A Little Bear’s Entertainment. by Sebastian

Hi ho! It’s me again. Sebastian here to show you what I have been doing lately. I went exploring and found this little fellow. What’s he seeing under his magnifying glass?

albe_1

A little closer now.

albe_2

Yep, it’s me! But I’m really curious what he’s searching for.

albe_3

I think I’ll have a look myself.

albe_4

Nope, I don’t see anything either. I think I could have saved him some time by just telling him his book doesn’t have any words or pictures.

albe_5

Next I came across a couple of little tykes reading . . .

albe_6

and they are reading to me.

albe_7

The book has the word ‘BEAR’ in it. I could easily be in this picture book.

albe_8

Hey look! I am. How about that?

albe_9

So this is what I’ve been reduced to these last few days while someone camps out in the studio making new friends. Reading books with no words or pictures and starring in an alphabet book. I think it might be time for some drastic measures. That or cookies. Cookies sound really good – unless you have a better idea for a little bear’s entertainment.

    1. Hi Wilbur,

I never thought of fleas! In fact, I'm glad I didn't. I would have been scared!

I will check into the cookies aspect of things for sure.

      hugs,

  3. Hi Sebastian,

First - GET THE COOKIES. Then, for some real fun, sneak into the studio and rearrange things, hide some things - talk about fun!!! Then hide and watch the fun. (o:

    1. Hi Prudence,

I knew you would have a plan! The only thing is sometimes things go into hiding and I don't have anything to do with it! I can only imagine what chaos would ensue if I were to hide things on purpose! Ha ha!

      hugs,

    1. Hi Miss Heather,

You are very sweet. Sometimes my adventures are born of desperation. I dare say it might be time for an adventure a little further afield. I wonder how I might arrange that? I must find my thinking cap!

  6. So good to see a post from my favorite little guy.....I think you found a great way to entertain yourself but cookies are always good, too. Easter candy is even better.

    1. Hi Mama Bear,

I'm glad to see you too Mama Bear. Yes it was fun and the cookies are also good. But I am beginning to wonder where all that Easter candy that you mentioned can be found. I think they must be hiding it from me!

  7. Oh what perfect new friends! We think the wee boy with the magnifying glass probably burnt all the words off the pages ;o)

    1. Hi Jack and The Clan,

Yes, they are pretty easily entertained by the same activity for quite some time. :D I hadn't thought about burning the words off the page! I'm glad the sun wasn't out when I was under it!

  8. I love the children reading to 'you' Sebastian, of course they would have to be on the B page for bear, heehee. Where is this place you took the pix? Ani in Wilmington

    1. Hi Miss Ani,

I didn't wander to far from home. This is just a few towns over in Holly Springs. It was easy to find. Sometimes I get lucky finding friends.

  9. HI Sebastian, I've been watching your adventures but not commenting - sorry. This looks like fun. Maybe the guy was looking for little creatures when he saw you, but I think the words were too small on his book to read them. Maybe his glass and the magnifying glass were really a naked microscope. I spect you're right though - it doesn't look like there were words at all.

I liked your bear in the book in 3D too. Did the Dales* children need to wear those silly red and blue glasses to see you properly?

I like Prudence's comment - she's let the cat out of the bag - she's been doing all the naughty stiff at her hug and blaming the young bears! Ha, caught in the act!

    Hugs,

    Jock

*Tykes are people from Yorkshire, did you know that? Many of them live in the lovely Yorkshire Dales, not far from here.

    1. Hi Jock,

As usual you are full of interesting information and tidbits. Ha ha - that was funny about the glasses!

You have educated all of us here as we use tykes to refer to children in general but who knows, I didn't ask them where they were from. I should have and maybe they would know some of the same people you know! Then we could sing "It's a small world after all" over and over and over again!

      hugs,
      Sebastian
