The Plan – Phase II

Hi ho. Sebastian here to give you an update on my progress. I am in Phase II of my grand plan. Here’s what I am thinking. I am going to make a pitch to the head honchos here one of these days. I want it to go according plan, so I want to make a dry run before the actual proposal.

That requires some stand-ins for the various parties involved. Felt will do nicely so that’s what I’m going to use to make them – the stand-ins, that is.

First I have to draw a pattern. This one is going to be me.

Here I am touching up the tracing I did of the pattern onto the felt. Next I will sew it up.

If I am going to enact my proposal properly, I will need both parties represented so I made a pattern for the “other party” too.

Here I am adding nose details to my little guy

and here I am finishing off the smile on the other one.

They say to envision the result you want, so I am envisioning a smile when she says, “Of course, Sebastian! It’s a fine idea.”

After I finish these puppets, the next thing I have to do is prepare my script. I also heard that a PowerPoint presentation might help me get my point across. I have a lot of work ahead of me. By the way, would you be willing to be my audience when I do my trial run?

Thanks from your friend,

    1. Hi Marie,

You are very kind. I don't want to analyze my processes too much. It's very complicated sometimes - being a small bear. But it can be a big adventure too!

      hugs,
      Sebastian

    1. Hi Val,

I knew I would be able to count on my peeps here! Thank you. I'll be along in a bit - mostly I just need an analysis of my proposal and presentation. That's where you will come in.

      hugs,
      Sebastian

  4. HI Sebastian,
All those sharp things - eek! Skizzers and needles and things - scary. The pen looks alright though and you are clever. Is that what all the mulling and thunking led to? You know how to live dangerously. Just don't be tempted to bungie jumping!
I'd love to be be part of your audience for the trial run. Do you have to run on the road, or is it a boring treadmill, or perhaps a trial run on the beach? Who will be the judge at your trial?
Beware of PowerPoint, next thing you'll be doing motivational speeches and be whizzing around the world. Mind you, that's fun.
    Hugs,
    Jock

    1. Hi Jock,

Yes, this is the road I am on now - no going back. Making these puppets is the first step in sorting out the best way to make my proposal convincing.

I won't be bungie jumping - yet, but that is a good idea!

Oh, Jock - I have to run in place don't ya know?! Haha. Though I wouldn't mind a run on the beach. And for sure, I hope this doesn't end in a court trial! :D

      hugs,
      Sebastian

    1. Hi Wilbur,

Now there's an idea - a puppet show and I could sell tickets and popcorn. Oh, boy! Now I might just have to put that on my list. This time around I need your feedback so thank you in advance my friend! I appreciate your kind participation!

  9. Here's another person ready and willing to see what you are up to! I must say that I'm quite impressed with your organizational skills and preparation for this project. You are quite right--role playing/practicing and expecting good things to come from it (i.e., a smile!) are the right way to go about it all.

    Hugs,

  10. Phase 2 huh? LT says that's what comes about when you didn't cram everything into phase one and then you have to clean up the leftovers, but that might just be in the orifice she goes into every day...

    1. Hi Jack and The Clan,

I never thought about that! What an interesting concept. That must be some orifice that LT works in - I bet she keeps them in line though.

You have done very well with your planning. I will be interested in your proposal.
Don't stress too much, and get a good nights sleep before you do your presentation so you will look your best.
