Last year about this time I posted parts and pieces of things that I intended to use in some of my projects.
I finished 5 out of seven of the ones I had on my list at the beginning of 2013. Then there was a bunch that weren’t even twinkles in my eye. The two I did not get around to completing included a fun little thing for myself that might have taken 10 minutes – very low on the priority list it was. And there it remains.
The other piece I did not make any progress on had been underway and then set aside. That makes twice now. Let’s see if the ‘third time’s a charm’ this year.
My philosophy is that there is a reason for the delay. I might not have any clue at the time what it is. Sometimes things need to percolate in my head for a while – sometimes a long while and then, it all comes together and makes better sense. To me at least. Sometimes it’s just an epic fail.
I have spent the last few days doing sort of a physical and mental clean sweep around here. It’s time now. Time to sew and paint and saw and assemble and whatever else comes to mind.
It’s a good thing since we’re having this – what are they calling it - Polar Vortex? Yep, it will be a good day to stay inside.
From our new Ginger the weather sounds just dreadful. I don't think you could even poke your nose outside and it would get frost bite. Keep warm and we will be watching what you come up with on the creation side.

Hi Kay,
DeleteI think we are kind of lucky in some respects - like for instance, we don't have ice and snow being blown around by the wind. It's just really really really cold here. Seems like a good day to be Australian? :D

pues si que has logrado hacer una buena cantidad de proyectos en el año pasado ,me alegro mucho, espero que ese frio no dure demasiado ,

Hi Mari,
DeleteI hope the cold doesn't last too long either but I can say winter has definitely arrived!

Hope your bad weather is over soon. Stay cosy and safe. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda,
DeleteThanks! Seems like I should be making polar bears to mark the occasion. :D

Hi Miss Ginger, Hi Sebastian, Hi Topher;
ReplyDeleteWow, weather up here in the mountains is great, it's -3 right now. And it snowed most of the day yesterday, and was windy. The pups only get to go out for potty, Mom calls it the 5 minute potty break.
We are staying in today too, good day for crafting and playing in the craft room.
Stay warm, stay safe.
Hugs,
Prudence & Family ♥
Hi Prudence and Family,
DeleteI have been following the weather reports on your part of the state and I do hope you all manage to stay warm and dry. That wind must be something else up there in the mountains. Even the puppies know it's better inside in this weather. Have fun in the craft room! Enjoy your new home!

Stay inside and wrap up well.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jock - oh and Alan too of course.

DeleteTell Katy the same to her from me!

Just wanted to say I love your new Bear Bits headder picture with the snow and ice.
ReplyDeleteHi BearSheCottage,
DeleteThank you! Even though it looks like it would be very cold it does look very magical. That's the best part of snow (for me anyway) is how it covers everything to give the world a pretty white blanket.
Thanks for stopping by!
