These photos show the progression of the outside of my current work in progress box. While it can be sometimes crazy-making, at this point I rarely notice anymore. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not but that’s the way it goes here.
This first photo I showed in my last post. It’s the very beginning – a bare box.
You can see the transformation as I added the paper. One of these days I would love to do one of those quickie time-lapse videos that would show the process of applying the paper. Maybe I’ll look into that. Talk about crazy-making!
I love this paper so of course, I had to think of a reason and a way to use it.
I like the inside paper just as much so I’ll have to show you those photos later when I have made more progress.
This is the top & bottom (or front & back) of the box.
After looking at it covered, I felt it needed a little something more so I decided to dry brush it with some silver paint. In this photo, the left piece has it and the right doesn’t. You might be able to tell a difference. I rather like the way it turned out.
It’s probably a good thing that each of these pieces is one-of-a-kind. While I love the process, I really wouldn’t want to do it a second (or third) time.
That’s all for now. Have a good weekend!
