Fairy Halloween Circus

Today is the day I can now show the finished bears&boxes piece I have been working on. The concept, provided by the recipient, turned out to be a very fitting name as well.

The front of the was one of those situations that could succeed or fail if you don’t hold your mouth right.  I held my breath quite a lot.

This slightly angled photo shows one of my favorite details of this piece.

Here’s a close up of it – a sign for tickets!

fhc_3

The back – with all the tiny raised painted stars.

Here’s the left side of the open box – with various acts performing.

fhc_5

This photo shows the tightrope walkers (potion bottles) and the circus wagon with various  ‘fairy’ animals.

fhc_6

The right side of the box has it’s own performers
– including the fairy Yellophants with wings

and the aerialists that are also fairies.

Here’s the fairy bear that occupies center stage in the
Fairy Halloween Circus.

I decided to add glitter to her wings  and in a few other places throughout the circus.

Here’s the complete box open with all the performers from tightrope walkers to monkey gymnast to flying Yellophants and a fairy bear.

It was fun being under the big top!

  1. Oh WOW!!!!! Just perfect. I adore your fairy bear. So much work with your yellophants, money and dancing ladies. I think the part I really, really like is the front of the box. Wonderful

  2. Wonderful piece ginger, I know the recipient will be chuffed to bits with it. My favourite part is the tightrope walking potions :0) it reminds me if something that could be in the Wesleys joke shop!
