The Things You Learn from Your Blogging Bear Friends

Today is September 1st. Yes, I know I am stating the obvious but today is significant for this guy because his most recent book is going to be released today . . . and several bear artists are mentioned by name in it, including yours truly. How do I know this? The lovely Darlene Allen over at Raspbeary Bears said so in her post about it. And if Darlene said so, it must be true because she is a very trustworthy person and very sweet to boot. She actually already has a copy of this book because she attended TBAI this year and John Lamb was there signing copies. (Lucky girl!)

The Treacherous Teddy is the fifth teddy bear mystery book in his repertoire and in each one he uses his knowledge of bear artists and bear collecting (as he himself collects bears with his lovely wife). He was once a detective out in California but he retired from that job and has become a mystery writer.

If you ask me, the real mystery to me is was I the victim (ha ha!), the culprit (not me, never!), a witness (possibly), or just an incidental bear maker (most likely) going about my teddy bear show business without a clue (ha ha - pun intended!)?

It looks like my next reading project is now going to be a mystery – a whodunit – as people sometimes refer to them. If you like teddy bears, mysteries, and haven’t already read his books, maybe they're something right up your alley – just make sure it’s a well-lit, heavily travelled, busy alley during the daytime!

  2. Oh! I actually found out about these books when I was buying TBR and Teddy & Friends from a local bookstore, the woman ringing me up said "Oh, if you like teddies..." and then told me all about them!
(And then, amusingly, there was an article about the author IN one of the magazines)
