I thought it was about time I gave you a glimpse of the important parts of Portland. These are sights that we just don’t have way back home in North Carolina. I like visiting interesting things and these definitely floated my boat so to speak.
I wanted to visit a park. Not just any park but one that had made the record books. I am a bear of peculiar taste.
Thus I requested a visit to Mill Ends Park. I understood that Patrick O’Toole, head leprechaun lived there and I wanted to meet him. Alas it was not to be but the park was just my size.
It is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Smallest Park.
It can be found in the median of a busy thoroughfare in downtown Portland occupying what was one a utility pole hole. In 1976 it was dedicated as an official park of the City of Portland.
Next on my list was this spot. Can’t tell where I am sitting?
How about now? Got any ideas?
Well, if you guessed I am sitting on a giant pair of Adidas shoes you would be right! Can you see me there sitting on the laces?
How about a little size perspective? I cajoled Ginger into the photo with the promise of lunch. Man those were some BIG shoes!
Stay tuned and I will return with Part Two.
love & hugs,

Do they have giants in that part of the country. Those shoes would fit a giant.
