An Enchanted Look

A while back I posted these photos of a piece I was working on.

It is called “Enchanted” and now here’s the finished piece from the front

and the back.

The left side . . .

and the right side.

A view of the opened box . . .

and of the bear inside.

The bear color is more like the first photo where you see the head in progress.  This is a piece I began quite a while ago and I am happy to say that it is finished and much more to my satisfaction now than it would have been a year ago.  I like to choose an aspect of each one that I am particularly pleased with how it turned out.  On the outside of this one, I would have to say it is the textured text and on the inside . . . maybe the large mushrooms or the lantern hook!

Until next time,

  1. Any little bear would love to live in that box, it is so comfortable. With all those books to read the hours would fly past.

    1. Hi Kay,

It would be kind of fun to sit on a mushroom all day and read!

      Thanks,

  4. We love the toadstools. If you eat one, does it make you bigger or smaller?

    1. Hi Jack, Boo & The Clan,

I'm not exactly sure but if you guys are willing, I'll be happy for you to give it a try so we'll know for certain. Of course, thinking about you guys being bigger is giving me pause.

  5. We certainly love the toadstools too, 'cos we could comfortably sit on them and read.
    Zeke; "No you couldn't, fatso."
Jock; "Who are you calling fat? I think for someone even ickler than me you can't talk, shorty. I think it would be a comfy fit for me, though I aspose I might be a little large to fit in the box."
Z: "I should say so, you're a big... Oh, I don't know, but you're a big one. I'm just going to get up on a toadstool with my friend Sebastian, and you can go and find your own shroom."
J; "Sebastian's my friend, even though he's disappeared."
    Z;"Isn't"
    J;"Is too."
    Z; "not, not NOT!"
    J; "IS,IS,IS."
Alan; "Boys, boys, no squabbling I'm sure the new bear would share her space, but really you have lots of places to sit on at home. What's more Sebastian is friends with both of you. Cme on, cheer -up"
So sorry Ginger, I now have two bad tempered bears. I expect it's a hangover from their holiday.
J & Z; "Well you got one thing right. When are we going away again?"
A: "Enough guys, enough, no-one wants to know and you still have one story still to write."
We all hope the new bear finds a lovely home (and no squabbling bears),
    Hugs,
Jock (Hmmph), Zeke (Hmmph, hmmph) and Alan :-)
