The photos in this blog post are courtesy of my very dear friend Karen. She is also a deer friend!
These last few weeks have been quite interesting with twin deer babies in our backyard . I feel fairly certain in the years to come we’ll remember this summer as the summer of the deer babies.
One of the best parts about them being here is how they have brought together neighbors and friends.
For a while we joked about charging admission, taking tickets and having the biggest playpen in the city.
We have terrific neighbors on either side and in the back and all of them are aware of the deer and interested in how they are getting along. Not only that, they seem very protective of them.
In addition, last week when we were lucky enough to have some of our best friends visiting, the deer provided us with endless entertainment.
Every morning it seemed like it was time for the daily deer update: Where are they hiding today? Has the mother been to visit? Where does she hang out during the day?
As I said previously, these photos were taken by friend Karen. Thanks so much for letting me post your photos! She also took a couple of terrific ones of Topher.
I’ll leave you with this comical photo of one of the deer babies stretching his leg!
creo que eres muy afortunada por tener esa belleza en tu propio patio trasero , me alegro mucho de que lo estes disfrutando y tambien de que lo compartas , gracias

You never know Ginger, they might come back in years to come and have their babies in your yard. They are so beautiful.
